Anathema picked up the Anthem Award at this year's Progressive Music Awards.
The band, who released new album Distant Satellites in June 2014, scooped the Anthem for the finest prog ear-worm of the year for their track Anathema. Distant Satellites has been the band's most successful charting album ever, and Anathema have been hard at work promoting it all year. Having already toured the US and Australia, the band have just headed out on another three-month UK and European tour.
Danny and Vincent Cavanagh and singer Lee Douglas were all on hand at the Awards ceremony, which took place at the Underglobe, beneath Shakespeare's legendary Globe Theatre on London's South Bank, joining the likes of Peter Gabriel, Rick Wakeman, Keith Emerson, Andy Latimer, The Enid, Fish, Moon Safari, IQ, Transatlantic, Marillion, Uriah Heep, Curved Air and many more.
